First and foremost we are passionate not only about our shooting but also about our lands and countryside. This common ethos has provided the catalyst to present organised driven woodcock shooting on expansive areas in Pembrokeshire.Secondly we are not here for profit - it is our passion but that does not detract from the fact that we run a professional shoot in every respect.DSC06667

Brawdy Farm   is owned by Mr Peter Gwyther who has access to some truly wild and productive lowlands rich in woodcock habitat. As well as his own extensive lands Peter has worked very hard with local farmers to gain access to these grounds and has a very high regard for their input. His desire is to maintain the grounds such that they will benefit all and ,with the woodcock shooting, enhance the community spirit between the farmers. Peter allows access to his own 1000 acres and all his resources free of charge whilst only taking a gun occasional himself as his belief is to show and share the spectacular land that he owns.

Brawdy Estate also has a driven pheasant syndicate which shoots 6 times a year and offers let days along with mixed walk up days and duck and snipe flighting.

We have a working relationship with Slebech Park which is owned by Mr Geoffrey Phillips and has developed into a centre known for its corporate and visitor hospitality. In recent years significant investment has been made into developing the Estate Manor into fine apartments along with a new restaurant etc. Slebech and its surrounding land affords mature woodlands along the estuaries and some more exposed areas for woodcock. Slebech also has a pheasant syndicate shoot along with let days, all in the order of 120 birds plus.

The shoot has only a small (if any) financial return for those involved. A good proportion of the revenue goes to land owners and farmers as a token of gratitude and respect for their access to these prime grounds. On woodcock days beaters and picker ups are again paid a respectful amount whilst the 2 full time keepers are retained on a sensible wage. By adopting this method the revenue and interest stays within the community.

The   shoot administarion is managed by John Price who has other business interests but his life long love   is shooting. He co-ordinates enquiries and assists on shoot days. Despite owning several successful companies you will often find John being your cook for the day or picking up     as these are also his passions. He is also a syndicate member at Brawdy and Slebech and shoots and is also a very keen rough and wildfowl shooter.
